デルフィアン・レーベルの1枚。イングランドゆかりのエレミアの哀歌ばかり6曲を並べたプログラムは、標本的でもあり、武骨でもある。

Lay Clerksって単語を久しぶりに見た。今回はウィンザー城セント・ジョージ・チャペル聖歌隊だ。ウィンザー城というのは名前をよく聞くけど、エリザベス2世が週末を過ごす場所らしい。

深く没入できる演奏だ。豊かすぎる響きの中でも引き締まり、カウンターテナーに多くの自由度が与えられているように聞こえるのは、トップ下のテナー2声がしっかりしているからだろうと思う。タリスの影に隠れながら録音が増え続けているバードのエレミア哀歌の充実ぶりに耳を奪われる。
