全集を完成させたシャペル・ドュ・ロワなどをはじめとして、いくつかの録音があるタリスのアンセム。でも、Spem in Alium （40声のモテット）やエレミアの哀歌などのラテン語作品と比べると、まだまだ少数派だ。タリス・スコラーズが80年代半ばに録音した全集はその中の1枚。最初の3曲は男声で、残りの9曲は混声で演奏されている。彼らの男声のみの演奏は珍しく、そのメンバーを中心として結成したオルランド・コンソートと比べても、特にテノールが柔軟。歌い手の声質の違い以上にスタンスがずいぶん違うようだ。
