ザ・シックスティーンが本領を発揮するのはビクトリアではなくテューダー・ポリフォニーだろうと思っていたが、そのままズバリのアルバムが登場。パーソンズ、ホワイト、タイの順に2曲ずつ並べるという芸がないといえば本当に芸がないプログラミングだが、その芸のなさに彼らの自信があらわれているようでもある。かつてのハイペリオンのタヴァナー・シリーズの天を衝くような粗さは既に遠く、今回は練りが見える演奏を展開。
